1. Active sensing, mainly the relation between neural activity and free visual exploration of scenes humans. We work studying perceptual processing in human volunteers while they explored natural, artificial, and/or face images. We are specially interest in the role of neural coordination as a mechanism of perception, and the ensuing activity locked to eye movements in health and psychiatry diseases.
2. Anesthesia is a unique opportunity to study brain dynamics and consciousness under different pharmacological scenarios. We cooperate with a group of anesthesiologists studying brain state during induction and deep anesthesia in adults and children.
